Chemika hosts laboratory tour for delegates of the 2014 Laboratory Manager's Conference

On 10th November, Chemika hosted a laboratory tour for 20 delegates from the 9th Annual Laboratory Management Conference.

The tours through the laboratory were hosted by Catherine, Natallie, Dina and Alan. The main focus of the tour was on Chemika's approach to efficient work flow through laboratory design and layout as well as every day communication tools. The tour discussed the thought processes behind the design and layout of the laboratory, segregation of tasks and equipment and also the challenges faced by managers and staff once the new laboratory was up and running.

The Laboratory Management Conference itself was held over 3 days and was attended by Alan, Catherine, Natallie and Fiona. Alan was also invited as a keynote speaker on Day 2 with, presenting the topic 'Scaling up for productivity & flexibility'.
